TikTok makes search suggestions that creators say only stir controversy
Recently, when the influencer Landon Romano uploaded a video, TikTok inserted a small search bar below his content with the phrase “Landon Romano HIV.” Romano, a gay man with over 2 million followers on the app, does not have HIV, has never had HIV and has never been suspected of having HIV.
